The story behind Best College Aid.
How It All Started
In 2011, the Cantu family emigrated from Monterrey, Mexico to Miami, Florida. Four children, four goals: to get into the best college possible, without putting the family into debt.
But the American school system wasn't built for families like ours.
The high school counselors didn't speak Spanish. Information about scholarships was scattered everywhere. The process of FAFSA, the Common App, essays, and recommendation letters was a maze.
What We Learned
Vidal and Lilia, our parents, spent years researching every detail of the system.
They guided all four of their children onto their college paths: three got into top universities on full scholarships (Marist, Marist, and UNC Chapel Hill), and the oldest built a professional career in sports media.
After living it ourselves, we knew we couldn't keep what we'd learned to ourselves. Thousands of Latino families across the United States are going through exactly what we went through: scared, full of questions, not knowing where to begin.
Best College Aid is our way of giving back. Today we help more than 10,000 Latino families navigate the college admissions process in their own language — with the confidence of someone who has already walked the path.

Co-Founder and President
An Endeavor Entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience. Co-founder of Kenio Films, the production company behind the biographical film Cantinflas, and co-founder of Best College Aid.
He brings planning, strategy, and digital content.
Lili
Co-Founder and Content Advisor
A full-time mom of four children, all attending U.S. universities. Her guidance helped the family earn more than half a million dollars in scholarships. Today she manages social media and communication with more than 100,000 families.

Leads social media and community. She has grown Best College Aid to more than half a million followers on social media. She advises families through the @BestCollegeAid social channels.

Social Media and Digital Content Advisor
Director of Digital Content at the Mexican Football Federation, coordinating the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He brings his experience in sports media and social media strategy to Best College Aid.
